Request a Workshop or Step Song Performance

Chris would love to do a book workshop or play his step songs your recovery event. If interested, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Request a Performance or Workshop" Here are important things you should know about the step song performances:

  • It takes about 45 minutes to perform the songs.
  • He never charges a performance fee.
  • The songs are not intended to be “entertainment” or background music. The songs should be scheduled into a spot that would normally be occupied by a lead speaker. This is, in effect, a “Musical Lead”.
  • CDs are available for free at all performances.
  • Chris can provide lyric pamphlets so that everyone can follow along. To download an electronic version of the lyrics, click here.
  • If you’re within driving distance from Columbus Ohio, Chris can bring everything he needs – keyboard, microphone, sound system, etc. If he needs to fly, the event organizer will need to provide the instrument (either a weighted keyboard or a real piano) and a sound system.

Here are important things you should know about the book workshops that Chris offers:

  • The workshops are interactive in nature and designed for groups of up to 25 people.
  • Typically, the workshops are an hour long, although Chris is happy to discuss shortening or lengthening the workshop based on the organizer's needs.
  • Each participant will receive a free copy of the book.
  • Chris never charges a fee of any kind for facilitating a workshop.
  • It should be noted that Chris's books are non-conference approved literature.
